  • 6 week Introduction to Mindfulness & Meditation

The class will cover the basics of mindfulness and meditation.

Jon Kabat-Zinn’s definition of mindfulness is:  paying attention in a particular way: on         purpose, in the present moment, and nonjudgmentally.

Being mindful is about learning to be the in the present moment; as many of us worry         about the future or regret the past. I will teach you the breathing practice, starting your         own meditation practice, recognizing and regulating emotions and how they present         themselves in the body, learning to be kind to yourself and others, the benefits of               positivity and practicing gratitude, and mindful movement and walking.  If time allow,         the class may also include mindful eating.  Each class consists of practice, teaching,           and conversation.
